If you haven’t ordered a Bahama Mama cocktail at an open bar and posted a photo of it to Instagram, are you even at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA)?

The prestigious $10,300 buy-in PCA Main Event kicks off today (January 23) in the beautiful Baha Mar Resort, and hundreds of players and online qualifiers from all around the world landed in the Bahamas yesterday.

But few went straight to bed. Jet lag, shmett lag.

It wouldn’t be a PokerStars event without plenty of free food and drink on offer, so the first port of call for many new arrivals was the Hibiscus Lawn outside of the poker area.

This was the PCA Welcome Drinks and, as you can see, a fun time was had by all.

Anyone need a top up?

Or have any requests?

If you didn’t squeeze in as many complimentary Bahama Mamas as you wanted to last night (your head says thanks, by the way), fear not.

This was the first of four soirees that PokerStars has organised for players throughout this fantastic festival, so there’s still plenty of time over the next fortnight to make the most of the free bars.

Steve Enriquez is in town

Here’s what’s still to come:

  • PCA Players Party – January 28th
  • PSPC Welcome Drinks – January 29th
  • PSPC Farewell Party – February 3rd

Moreover, PokerStars is putting on Walking Rum Tours on January 26th and 31st, taking you on a rum ramble through Downtown Nassau. It’s a great excuse to get out of the resort, see the city, and get a little merry on the way.

Check out the packed PCA/PSPC activities calendar.

As for the poker, it’s non-stop from here on out, so if you didn’t make it to the Bahamas this time around, you can follow all our coverage and start planning your trip here in 2024.
