Spin & Go Max games have been popular with players from the second they arrived on the PokerStars client. Their high-octane action and random prize player pools are perfect when you’re strapped for time, and players have been able to win up to 10,000 times their buy-in.

But there’s always room for improvement, and after lots of research and feedback from players, it’s time for a Spin & Go Max refresh. That includes the prizes on offer, as from May 13, jackpots will now reach up to 25,000 times the buy-in.

Here, we’ll outline all the major updates to Spin & Go Max—changes designed to streamline gameplay, improve payouts, and address player feedback.

BUY-INS ALIGNED WITH REGULAR SPIN & GO’S

Previously, Spin & Go Max games had their own unique buy-in levels, which differed from standard Spin & Go’s.

Spin & Go Max buy-in levels will now be aligned with regular Spin & Go’s, set at $1, $2, $5, $10, $25, and $50. It’s clean and consistent.

PAY TABLES SIMPLIFIED

Players told us they wanted better payout distribution across the buy-in levels. A major concern was that high-multiplier games were deemed too unlikely, while low-multiplier games weren’t rewarding enough. So, we’ve simplified and modernised the pay tables.

This means fewer payout tiers, but more importantly, increased jackpots and reduced instances of minimum prize multipliers. Spin & Go Max will now offer proportionately better jackpots for games with 4-8 players than standard Spin & Go’s.

UPDATED PLAYER RANGES

Some Spin & Go Max games were taking too long to start while waiting for players to join. So, we’ve updated the player ranges to better align with players’ preferences.

Games with buy-ins of $1-$5 will still have random player draws of 3-8 players, while $10-$25 games will now have 3-6 players, and $50 games will have 3-5 players.

This is designed purely to reduce waiting times.

ALL-IN MODE REMOVED

Spin & Go Max games used to have All-In Mode. This kicked in when the specified number of hands had been played. When the counter reached zero, players were forced all-in each hand until there was a winner.

After listening to players, we’ve decided to remove this feature from the games. The specified number of hands was unpopular with most players polled so now the game will play to a winner in the standard way.

CHANGES TO STARTING STACKS AND BLIND LEVELS

Who doesn’t like having more chips in front of them?

With All-In Mode removed it was the perfect time to update the structures and Spin & Go Max games will now start with 1,000 chips instead of 500. Removing All-In Mode also means that blinds will now increase based on time instead of number of hands. Small prize pool multipliers will have faster level increases, while bigger multipliers will have slower levels, ensuring there’s more room for play when more is at stake.
