The PSPC — short for the PokerStars Players NL Hold’em Championship — will be an amazing way to start 2023 for poker enthusiasts of all bankrolls and abilities.
Officially, it’s a $25,000 buy-in no limit hold’em freezeout, taking place at the Baha Mar Resort, located on Cable Beach in Nassau, The Bahamas, from January 30 – February 3.
That’s firmly at the High Roller end of the poker tournament ladder, and the prize pool is set to be truly enormous. But the key attraction of the PSPC is the way it is open to everybody.
PokerStars is giving away several hundred Platinum Passes to the event — a ticket that allows entry to the tournament, plus travel and accommodation expenses — and permits all holders to line-up alongside the game’s elite.
In 2019, when the PSPC was first held, Spain’s Ramon Colillas won $5.1 million for finishing first in the tournament. Colillas was a Platinum Pass holder, having won his entry via a leader board contest on a Spanish regional poker tour.
Colillas went on to become a Team PokerStars Ambassador and win thousands more as he travelled the globe playing poker. The hunt is on for Colillas’s successor.
In short, a Platinum Pass is a free ticket to the PSPC.
Platinum Pass holders don’t need to worry about a thing in order to play the most outstanding poker tournament of early 2023. The Platinum Pass includes:
- Buy-in to the $25,000 PSPC
- Six nights hotel accommodation for winner and a guest in a 5-star hotel
- Airport transfer
- $1,900 expense money
- Platinum Pass Winner experiences during the event
If you win a Platinum Pass, you will be contacted by one of PokerStars dedicated support staff to help arrange everything you need. You’ll then get to play the tournament in The Bahamas and, if you cash, you get to keep the prize money as you would after a normal tournament.
It’s really that simple. Just ask Ramon Colillas.
Dusk Till Dawn is among Europe’s leading poker clubs, established in 2007 by the poker enthusiast Rob Yong. The idea was simply to offer poker round the clock, at all buy-ins; tournaments and cash games. Fifteen years later, Dusk Till Dawn is still going strong, and regularly hosts some of the most popular events in British poker, including the UKIPT.
The Road to PSPC festival is perfectly in tune with Dusk Till Dawn’s guiding philosophy. It’s a tournament series with a small buy-in but that will raise the profile of poker and potentially begin successful poker careers.
Keep an eye out for the full schedule from the event.
