How do I get hand histories from PokerStars?

Upload your hands, share your links, discuss on Discord

In order to use this brilliant poker tool, you’ll need the hand histories of the hands that you want to upload. There are several ways to do this:

RECENT HANDS

If you want to upload a hand you just played, you can find the text you need from the PokerStars instant hand history. On most themes, this can be found by clicking the hand symbol at the top left of your table, or by clicking the ‘Hands’ section of the table chat box.

You can also use the ‘Tools’ tab in the PokerStars lobby, then click ‘Instant Hand History’, or use keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + l for windows, CMD + l for mac).

Once the instant hand history window is open, find the hand you are looking for in the list and then copy and paste all the text from the hand history section.

VIEW HAND HISTORIES FOLDER

If you want to find and replay hands that happened hours, days or even weeks ago, then you can view your hand histories folder. First, check that your settings are such that hands are actually being saved.

Click ‘Settings’, followed by ‘Playing History’, then ‘Hand History’. Make sure the ‘Save My Hand History’ box is checked and choose how long you will save hand histories for.

From here, you can select ‘Open Folder’ to access your hand histories folder. Find the hand(s) you want to replay and copy and paste text for the entire hand.

REQUEST HAND HISTORIES

You can also request hand histories directly from PokerStars, a useful approach if you choose not to save your hand histories on your device. Head to ‘Tools’ in the PokerStars lobby, then click ‘History and Stats’, followed by ‘Get Hand History’.

You can request up to 100 hands, hand histories for up to one week, or use a specific tournament ID to request all hands for that tournament.

Again, once you have the hand history files, copy and paste the text into the PokerStars Hand Replayer to see the hand.

Give feedback on PokerStars Hand Replayer

The PokerStars Hand Replayer is a fairly new software and PokerStars will be making improvements and adding features over time.

The software currently supports English language only. If your client is set to another language and your hand history does not upload to the Replayer, you can request the hand history be emailed to you in English and then upload the file.

We’d would love to hear your feedback for improvements. If you have any features you’d like to see added, please let us know on PokerStars Discord under our #software-feedback channel.
