Love Island is back on our screens after the villa opened its doors for the new series.

Eleven singles looking for romance have entered the villa on the Spanish island of Majorca for the ITV2 series and BetStars has a Love Island betting market.

The new series looks to be more popular than ever as ITV2 enjoyed its biggest overnight viewing figures since records began, with an average of 2.9 million viewers watching the first episode.

Here is an early look at the contestants and their Love Island odds:

Top boy

Jack Fincham

A stationery sales manager from Kent who claims to be “really good looking”, with his “really nice teeth” one of his best assets.

Niall Aslam

A student and construction worker from Coventry, describing himself as “quirky and funny”.

Eyal Booker

The London-based model says he is a “spiritual person” and added: “I’d like to think I have a depth to me so I guess that stands out”. Described himself as a “wannabe presenter” and was part of little-known pop band EverYoung.

Adam Collard

The personal trainer from Newcastle was introduced as a late twist during the opening episode. The 10 contestants had made their first matches and were safely in their couples when it was revealed that a sixth male – Collard – was going to pick one of the women to pair up with.

Wes Nelson

The nuclear systems design engineer hails from Staffordshire, does kick boxing as a hobby and is looking to “settle down” with someone who can “tame my wild lifestyle”.

Alex George

A doctor taking some time away from A&E to find love in the villa but had a rough start when host Caroline Flack told the contestants to couple up for the first time. The women were supposed to step forward to indicate their interest in the men but when George turned up, they all remained firmly rooted in position. He then picked Laura Anderson but she traded him in for Wes Nelson at the first opportunity.

Top girl

Dani Dyer

The daughter of actor Danny Dyer is the early favourite to be the top girl in the Love Island betting. The 21-year-old barmaid wasted little time in revealing her claim to fame during a chat with fellow contestant Jack Fincham during the first episode, saying she wanted to “get it out the way”.

Kendall Rae-Knight

The retail manager from Blackpool works in a Clarks shoe shop and appeared in the final of Miss England in 2015, representing the North West.

Hayley Hughes

A 21-year-old model from Liverpool who has just come out of a five-year relationship.

Laura Anderson

The air stewardess is from Stirling in Scotland but lives in Dubai and at the age of 29, she is the oldest contestant on Love Island 2018.

Samira Mighty

The musical theatre performer from London is no stranger to the big stage, having featured in Emma Watson’s live adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. She has also starred in Mamma Mia! and Dreamgirls.
