Featherstone and Hull kick off an exciting weekend of Challenge Cup action as Super League takes a break.

Here we take a look at the best bet in the six standout ties.

An accumulator with just a £1 stake will return around £46 if all our Challenge Cup betting tips are successful.

Featherstone with +18.5 handicap vs Hull @ 17/20

Holders Hull are unsurprisingly highly fancied to progress to the quarter-finals but Featherstone will be no pushovers. Rovers are third in the Championship and will take the fight to their Super League opponents in front of their passionate home fans. Hull have some key men missing and can expect an uncomfortable evening.

Leigh with +6.5 handicap vs Salford @ 17/20

Salford will arrive at Leigh Sports Village as favourites but the in-form hosts are the most likely giantkillers in the sixth round. Leigh have won nine in a row after a nightmare start to the season and dumped Salford out of the cup when the Centurions were a Championship side in 2015. If the Red Devils win, it will not be by many.

Wakefield with -7.5 handicap vs Huddersfield @ 23/20

With both sides struggling to make an impression in Super League, this cup tie has taken on extra importance. Wakefield are a better team than their recent form suggests and should fancy their chances of a first Wembley appearance since 1979. Huddersfield picked up a vital league win last week but Trinity will have too much quality.

Widnes with +11.5 handicap vs Leeds @ 10/11

The cup comes at a good time for a Leeds side lacking consistency in Super League. Widnes have lost their last six league games and will also welcome the break. The Vikings have an impressive home record against the Rhinos and will make life tough for Brian McDermott’s men.

St Helens with -7.5 handicap vs Castleford @ 5/6

What a difference a year makes. When Castleford welcomed Saints at the same stage of the cup in 2017 they continued their sensational start to the season with a thumping 53-10 victory. Twelve months on and St Helens are the team to beat while the Tigers are doing it tough on the injury front. A fired-up Saints should progress with something to spare.

Hull KR with +16.5 handicap vs Wigan @ 4/5

Wigan are enjoying a much-improved Super League campaign and will be out to make up for last year’s cup final defeat to Hull. But Rovers have shown signs of what they are capable of and will not roll over.
