Common examples of lobby issues are:
- Visual issues with the lobby.
- The lobby doesn't load.
- A blank, black or red page appears instead of the lobby.
How do I clear the application and lobby cache on the PokerStars desktop software?
To clear the application and lobby cache on the PokerStars desktop software, follow these steps:
Windows
- Close the software.
- Press Windows key + 'R' simultaneously
- When the 'Run' app opens, type in:

- Delete the following folders if present:
- 'PokerStarsBrowserCache' or 'PokerStarsBrCache' is the lobby cache.
- 'XCW' is the application cache.
- Restart your computer.
macOS
There are two steps to clearing the application and lobby cache on macOS:
- Delete the application cache from the PokerStars folders.
- Delete the relevant cache from the Safari browser.

If you use player notes, save them before continuing. These notes will be deleted during this process.
- Please save a copy of your player notes first.
- You can restore your player notes after clearing the application and lobby cache.

Delete the application cache
- Open Finder.
- Select ‘Go’ → ‘Go to Folder’.
- Enter: ~/Library/Application Support/
- Find and delete the PokerStars software folder.
- From the 'Preferences' and 'Caches' folders, delete the files or folders starting with 'com.pokerstars...'.
- Open the Finder again
- Select ‘Go’ → ‘Go to Folder’.
- Enter: ~/Library/Caches
- Move the folder 'XCW' to the trash
- Empty the trash.
Delete Safari cache
- Open Safari web browser
- Go to the Safari menu next to the Apple icon.
- Choose Preferences → Advanced
- Put a check mark beside 'Show Develop menu in menu bar'.
- Go to 'Develop'.
- Press 'Empty Caches'.
How can I save my player notes on macOS?
To save your player notes file:
- Open Finder.
- Select ‘Go’ → ‘Go to Folder’.
- Enter: ~/Library/Application Support/
- Open the PokerStars software folder.
- Locate notes.user.xml (user = your username).
- Copy the file to your desktop or another folder.
How do I restore my player notes on macOS?
To restore your player notes file:
- Open the PokerStars software.
- Select ‘Help’ → ‘Gameplay’ → ‘Player Notes’.
- Close the software.
- Copy your saved notes file back into the folder.
- Accept overwrite prompts if shown.
