The End of The Deal

The Deal came to an end. After we had it on our game plan for many years, we recently withdrew this progressive jackpot game.

When did this happen?

The last day of The Deal was January 31, 2024.

Why did you end it?

You probably already know that we recently revamped our loyalty program 'PokerStars Rewards'.

And since one of the changes was the removal of StarsCoin, we couldn't keep The Deal, because it was a game with a StarsCoin buy-in.

How did you pay out the leftover jackpot?

On the day of the shutdown, we calculated the outstanding jackpot. Then, we divided this jackpot amongst eligible players as follows:

• All players who had played The Deal since the jackpot was last won received a share of it.
• This share was calculated based on the percentage of StarsCoin each player had contributed overall.
• We credited eligible players on February 3, and emailed them the value of their share.

But that wasn't all: There was still the progressive jackpot, or the portion spared for future jackpots of The Deal. We handed out this part through a prize draw.

How did you pay out the rest?

Initially, we credited tickets to an All-in Shootout to compensate The Deal players through its Power Path prize pool. But we had to turn to a simple prize draw in the end. More specifically, this is what happened:

• All players who had played The Deal in the year preceding its shutdown got a ticket to a special All-in Shootout with Power Path tickets as prizes.
• The Shootout was scheduled for February 15 at 16:00 ET.
• Unfortunately, we had to cancel the event due to technical issues.
• We decided to enter all eligible players into a fixed prize draw instead, and credit the winners directly.

How do I know if I won?

• If you were amongst the winners in the draw, you would have received your Power Path ticket on (or around) February 19.
• All players with a ticket were also notified by email (and reminded if the tickets were not used).
