Same poker. New front door.
Before you ask: your poker experience isn’t changing.
The games you play. The series you look forward to. The PokerStars you know and trust. It’s all staying the same.
What’s changing is the way you get there.
So, essentially, we’re moving house, and we’re taking the poker with us.
Betfair has built its reputation on innovation, value and choice. PokerStars has spent more than 20 years shaping online poker. Now, two experts in their game are coming together to give you one smarter way to play.
Same games. Same tournaments. Same series. Same player pools. Same PokerStars.
Just with a new front door.
In the coming weeks, PokerStars UK will be moving to Betfair. While PokerStars UK will close for gameplay, the action doesn't stop there. All poker games will continue on the PokerStars on Betfair platform. As part of this change, the company responsible for processing your personal data in connection with gameplay (the "data controller") will change from TSG Interactive Services (Ireland) Limited to Power Leisure Bookmakers Limited. Your privacy rights will remain the same, and Power Leisure Bookmakers Limited will be responsible for handling any requests relating to your personal data.
On the day of the transition, there will be a planned downtime period when logging in and playing won't be available.
To make the change as smooth as possible, we'll gradually reduce tournament activity in advance so you're less likely to be affected when the downtime starts.
If you're playing at a cash game table when gameplay closes, you'll be automatically stood up, with your chips fully protected and your funds returned to your cash balance.
On your first login after the downtime, if you don't already have a Betfair account and want to keep playing on PokerStars on Betfair, simply download the Betfair client and sign in with your existing PokerStars credentials. We'll take care of transferring your PokerStars account to the Betfair platform. Once you've reviewed and accepted the Betfair General Terms and Conditions, we'll move your funds across and you'll be ready to get back to the tables.
If you already have an active Betfair account, please withdraw any funds from your PokerStars account and continue playing with your existing Betfair account.
After the move players won't be able to access poker games using the current PokerStars platform. They would have the option to move to PokerStars on Betfair to continue playing.
If you already have an active Betfair account, we'll ask you to withdraw any funds from your PokerStars account before continuing to play with your existing Betfair account.
If you don't have a Betfair account but would like to keep playing, simply download the Betfair client. We'll transfer your PokerStars account to the Betfair platform, so you can log in using your existing PokerStars credentials.
PokerStars Casino and Sports will also be replaced by Betfair Casino and Sportsbook, giving you access to a wider range of games and even more ways to bet.
Yes, but your account won't be transferred to Betfair. Instead, you'll need to withdraw any funds from your PokerStars.UK account.
If you'd like to continue playing on PokerStars, you'll need to open an account at www.pokerstars.com. Your PokerStars.UK account will be closed.
If you already have an active Betfair account, you'll be automatically unregistered from any PokerStars tournaments scheduled to take place after the move to Betfair. Your tournament buy-ins will be refunded, allowing you to withdraw your remaining funds from PokerStars.
If your PokerStars account is being transferred to Betfair, any tournament registrations for events taking place after the downtime will be carried over to your new Betfair account. Once you've logged in to Betfair and accepted the General Terms and Conditions, you'll be able to access and play those tournaments as normal.
If you already have an active Betfair account, we'll convert any T-Money and unused tournament tickets in your PokerStars account into cash, which you can then withdraw from PokerStars.
If your PokerStars account is being transferred to Betfair, your T-Money, tournament tickets and account balance will all be moved across to your new account. Once you've logged in for the first time and accepted the Betfair General Terms and Conditions, you'll be able to use them on PokerStars on Betfair as normal.
No. Your PokerStars General Terms will not apply to your use of Betfair.
If your PokerStars account is being transferred to Betfair, you'll be asked to review and accept the Betfair General Terms and Conditions when you first log in after the move.
If you already have an active Betfair account and have already accepted the current Betfair General Terms & Conditions, you won't need to accept them again.
No. As part of PokerStars UK moving to Betfair, Power Leisure Bookmakers Limited will become the data controller for your gameplay account and personal data. Your privacy rights will not change. For more information, please see the Betfair Privacy Notice.
Not all marketing preferences will be carried over from your PokerStars account settings to Betfair. We would advise you to review and amend the preferences once you've logged in to Betfair under 'My Details'. Full instructions can be found here.
If you don't already have the PokerStars on Betfair desktop app, you'll be prompted to download it the next time you log in to PokerStars after the downtime. The app is available for both Windows and macOS.
Once installed, a new PokerStars on Betfair application will be added to your computer. If your PokerStars account has been transferred to Betfair, simply log in using your existing PokerStars username and password to access your account and continue playing.
If you already have an active Betfair account, just log in using your existing Betfair credentials.
If your PokerStars account has been transferred to Betfair and you're unable to log in with your username, it may be because that username is no longer unique or is already being used on the Betfair platform.
If this happens, you'll need to log in using the email address registered to your PokerStars account instead.
Once you've logged in with your registered email address, you can continue using your account as normal. Your poker nickname won't be affected.
If you don't already have an active Betfair account, we'll send you a six-digit Security Code. This code adds an extra layer of security to your account and can also be used to reset your password if you ever forget it.
Please keep this email somewhere safe, as you may need the code again in the future.
The email will be sent from events@starsaccount.uk.

Some players whose accounts have been transferred from PokerStars to Betfair may be asked to complete additional verification checks.
If this applies to you, you'll see details of any required verification steps when you log in to your Betfair account. Until these checks have been completed successfully, some features on your account may be restricted.
If you already have an active Betfair account, you'll need to use your existing Betfair username to log in. If you haven't chosen a poker nickname yet, you'll be asked to select one. Please choose carefully, as poker nicknames can't be changed once they're set.
If your PokerStars account is being transferred to Betfair, you’ll be able to continue playing with your current PokerStars username as it will become your poker nickname.
Yes. As the PokerStars Network brings together players from different brands and markets, some players may legitimately have more than one username across the network. This is because accounts are held separately under different brands, each with its own username.
However, players are only permitted to use one account at a time and cannot enter the same tournament from multiple accounts, even if they've already been eliminated from one of them.
Our game integrity and security standards continue to apply across the network, and we have robust measures in place to detect and prevent prohibited activity.
Yes. You'll be able to view up to three months of your PokerStars transaction history on Betfair. To help keep things running smoothly, transaction history downloads are available one month at a time.
You can find your poker playing history in the desktop client under the Tools menu, or in the poker and web apps under the Account menu.
The new Favorite Games feature lets you save your favorite casino games for quicker access on Betfair. Any games you mark as favorites will appear in a dedicated Favorites section, making it easier to find and jump back into the games you enjoy most.
This can be especially useful after the move to Betfair, as your Recently Played history won't be transferred. By using Favorites, you can quickly rebuild your preferred games list and get back to playing with less searching.
