The European Poker Tour’s imminent trip to Barcelona means a return to a familiar setting and a very welcome return for some of the most popular activities on the circuit.
Wherever the EPT goes, there’s plenty of fun to be had off the felt. But it’s especially good in Barcelona, where the casino is right beside the beach and the hills of Catalonia are only a short bus ride away.
This time, players and their guests can enjoy catamaran trips, padel tournaments and off-site activity days, as is now established for this stop, as well as a comedy night, a quiz night and several get-togethers where on-felt adversaries can become friends.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the EPT without an incredible Players Party too, and Barcelona’s is always one of the best.

OFF-THE-FELT ACTIVITIES
Padel Tournament
August 20 – Half Day (12:30-16:30)

The Padel tournament in Barcelona might just be your best chance to beat a PokerStars Ambassador (trust us, we’ve seen them play!). Sports tournaments on the EPT have become a real highlight of the trip and fun is the aim of the game on the padel courts. If you’ve not played before, padel is like tennis but played on a slightly smaller court. It’s physically demanding, but don’t worry, nobody takes tournaments too seriously (although there are Mini Spade trophies on offer to the winning teams!). Book your spots as there are only 40 places available. Transport to and from the venue is provided, as well as snacks and drinks.

One of the many perks for Silver Pass qualifiers in Barcelona is this exclusive meet-up party, where you can celebrate with fellow players and mingle with PokerStars Ambassadors. Kick off your Barcelona trip in style with this official gathering to welcome players and their guests. The party takes place at the Blue Terrace of the Sofitel Hotel and is open to everyone, all you have to do is pick up a wristband at the Travel Desk. Then you can enjoy a couple of drinks and some food on us and make some moves on the dancefloor before you begin making moves at the tables. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow players, catch up with friends, and relax before play begins.

There’s simply no better way to enjoy the Catalonian coast.

Players and guests can enjoy an incredible day of high-adrenaline EPT Barcelona activities at the exclusive Can Tarranc Villa. The day includes a variety of team games and sports, including Gladiator War, Water Pong, Happy Hippos, and Wipe Out games, pool activities and climbing. It’s a great opportunity for players to enjoy some time away from the tables, de-stress, have fun, meet new people and enjoy some time with the PokerStars Ambassadors. There will be a DJ spinning tunes while you enjoy the BBQ and drinks, plus Mini Spade trophies are heading to the winning team. Maximum 56 people for the games and 120 total capacity.

There are many reasons why EPT Barcelona is considered by many the most fun stop on the tour — none more obvious than the EPT Player Party. The venue for our EPT welcome drinks is El Tribut — just a short stroll from the casino along the marina — and promises a night to remember for everyone. With an open bar until late plus food and entertainment, it’s a great chance to let your hair down when you’re finished at the tables.
Football Tournament

Lace up your boots as players and guests are invited to take part in a friendly football tournament. It’s the perfect chance to show off your skills (on the pitch rather than the felt), but whether you’re a seasoned striker or just in it for the fun, everyone’s welcome. Transport to and from the venue is provided, just make sure you sign up at the Travel Desk.

Spanish Karaoke Night

Join us in the Player Lounge for an unforgettable Spanish Karaoke Night at EPT Barcelona. The evening will feature live band karaoke, giving you the chance to take the stage and sing your heart out (even if you don’t speak the language!). Our Spanish-speaking Ambassadors — including the legendary Papo MC — will be in the house, cheering you on and maybe even grabbing the mic themselves. Plus, there will be local tapas, pitchers of sangria, and a lot of laughs. ¡Vamos!
La Dolce Vita Night

We’re back in the Player Lounge on Thursday, August 21 for a fun-filled Italian-themed night. Enjoy freshly made Italian food and drinks, Italian music pumping through the speakers, and games aplenty. Bellissimo!
French Fun Night

We invite you to an evening of French-themed fun hosted by sports content creator Seck Pape. There will be a sports quiz and games hosted by Pepe (in French, of course), but everyone is welcome, as snacks, drinks, and games will be available in the Player Lounge.

Joe Stapleton Stand-Up Night

Fresh from the EPT commentary booth, PokerStars’ very own Joe Stapleton will be performing live in a special stand-up comedy night. With the Main Event in full swing, head along to the player lounge for a chance to unwind, enjoy some drinks and snacks, and of course have a laugh. It’ll be a great night, so don’t miss out.
Wine Tasting

The final night on the EPT Barcelona activities schedule is a fun one. Players and guests are invited to sample some delicious local wines at our wine tasting night, held in the Player Lounge. With plenty of incredible vineyards just a short drive from the city, this is your chance to experience the superb flavours and unique character of Catalonia’s celebrated wine region. Unwind after a day at the tables and enjoy a selection of reds, whites, and more in a relaxed, social setting.

Mental well-being is crucial to success in any field, and the world’s leading poker pros give this area almost as much importance as their study of solver outputs.
