BRAND NEW STARS SEASON

Following the success of the Sunday Million Season earlier this year, a brand new Stars Season has been announced, running on PokerStars from October 27 – December 1, 2024, with $100K in Leader Board prizes up for grabs.

What is a Stars Season? Well, each day one or two tournaments from the PokerStars daily schedule will become Stars Season events, in which you will score points based on how you get on. Each event, or Episode as they’re called on the Season schedule, has three buy-in tiers: Low, Medium and High — just like in WCOOP.

Many of the events on the schedule will be hosted by PokerStars Ambassadors including Lex Veldhuis, Sam “samsquid” Grafton, Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg, Fintan “easywithaces” Hand, Parker “tonkaaaa” Talbot, Lasse “Wistern” Jagd Lauritsen, Rafael “GM_VALTER” Moraes, Lali Tournier, and Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber.

Knock out the Ambassador hosting the tournament and you’ll win the bounty prize on their heads.

You can track your progress on the Low, Medium, High, and Overall Leader Boards as the season progresses. It’s well worth keeping an eye on as there are some impressive prizes up for grabs, which you can read about below.

The Stars Season simply adds some extra spice to events you’d usually play anyway, so don’t miss your chance to pick up some extra prizes.

STARS SEASON 2024 SCHEDULE

HOW THE STARS SEASON LEADER BOARD WORKS

The Stars Season Leader Board works in the same way as in the Spring and World Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP/WCOOP). Players receive points based on how they finish in a tournament.

Because everyone deserves a shot at topping the leader board, we’re offering three different leader board tiers based on buy-ins, plus an overall ranking:

• Low – episodes with buy-ins up to $21
• Medium – episodes with buy-ins between $22-$109
• High – episodes with buy-ins of $110 or more
• Player of the Season – all buy-ins

It’s also worth noting that the following episodes will award DOUBLE points:

• Episode 2 – Stars Season Kick Off
• Episode 9 – Super Sunday
• Episode 14 – Red Spade Open
• Episode 15 – Sunday Million
• Episode 20 – Sunday Million
• Episode 25 – Sunday Million

But it could all come down to the Season Finale (episode 29). Don’t say it’s over until it’s over because this episode will award TRIPLE points.

WHAT CAN YOU WIN?

The Overall Leaderboard winner will receive a New Year Series (NYS) Package worth $18,800, consisting of 2x $5,200 NYS tickets plus 8x $1,050 NYS tickets.

Here’s what the other winners will get:

• High Leaderboard winner will get 2x $5,200 NYS tickets + 3x $1,050 NYS tickets ($13,550 total)
• Medium Leaderboard winner will get 1x $5,200 NYS tickets + 4x $1,050 NYS tickets ($9,400)
• Low Leaderboard winner will get 5x $1,050 NYS tickets ($5,250)

INTRODUCING SUNDAY MILLION SEASON

There’s a popular saying among online poker pros (we’re looking at you, Pads): “Never miss a Sunday”. It’s the busiest day of the week for tournaments on PokerStars and with big fields come huge prize pools and paydays.

Well, as if your Sunday sessions weren’t already exciting enough, PokerStars is now providing even more incentive to never miss a Sunday.

Introducing the Sunday Million Season – a six-week-long affair running between March 10 and April 21, 2024. The Season comprises some of the biggest online tournaments of the year — including the epic Sunday Million Anniversary 18 and its $8 million guarantee – with leader board points and added prizes.

The idea is simple. Players play their regular Sunday schedule, but certain events (including some special tournaments added solely for the season) will be tracked and points will be awarded based on your results.

Not only are there millions of dollars in prizes across the Season’s 40 events (some with Low, Medium and High editions), but there’s also $100,000 in Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) tickets and leader board prizes to be won.

Plus, many of the special featured tournaments will have their guarantees boosted with tickets for the Sunday Million Anniversary 18, each worth $215. There’s a minimum first-place prize of $1 million in that one.

There will also be various promotions announced along the way, so keep your eyes peeled for those.

But buying in directly for every event on the schedule can be costly and might stretch your bankroll too far. If that’s something you’re worried about, fear not.
