The second week of the Turbo Series is now underway. Seven events ran on Day 8, with buy-ins ranging from $11 to $215 and total prizes topping the $1.4 million mark. A few big name players made their mark on the series, including “etxnl01” and “chickenssss”, both of who have had COOP titles. Here are the highlights.

The $22 Event 59, which started at midnight WET, attracted 9,902 entries for a prize pool of nearly $200k. “mati_1112” from Argentina and “Skoelas” from the Netherlands made a deal heads-up, both walking away with a similar amount. mati_1112 finished the job to take first place for $23,213.

Event 61, the $109 6-Max, brought plenty of exhilarating poker, with a decent prize pool of over $240k and stiff competition on the final table.

“etxnl01”, one of the top ranked players in the Netherlands and a multi-time COOP champ, bagged $35,521 for first. They overcame talented Austrian pro Pascal “Paffchen” Hartmann, who finished second for $24,748.

The biggest tournament of Day 8, at least in terms of guarantee and prize pool, was Event 63, the $215 PKO. A 2,072 strong field contributed to the $414k prize pool.

Canadian pro “chickenssss”, who has both a WCOOP and TCOOP title to their name, earned $26,473 for first and $17,861 in bounties, for a total of $44,334. Second place “necgaidziai” from Lithuania, who is also no stranger to major final tables, put on a good show, finishing second for the same prize, but with $8,387 in bounties.
