The thrill of watching your favourite Twitch streamers battle through deep runs is about to get even more exciting as PokerStars is awarding tournament tickets in Chests to random Twitch viewers throughout the New Year Series.

We know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking you don’t need any added incentive to watch Lex, Fintan, Spraggy and other PokerStars streams over the holidays. Right?

We agree. But nevertheless, PokerStars is still spicing things up.

Starting on Christmas Day (Sunday 25th December) and running until Monday 16th January, there will be random Chest Drops across most of our Twitch channels (find out which channels are eligible below), with New Year Series tournament tickets to be won.

There’s $40 million in guaranteed prize pools throughout the series, including $3.75 million for the Main Events, which will be played over three buy-in levels from January 15-17.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

It’s pretty simple: tune in and watch an eligible PokerStars stream between Christmas Day and mid-January and you’re in with a shot of having Chests added to your PokerStars account.

Just make sure you link your PokerStars and Twitch accounts (here’s a how-to guide on that).

All tickets won from Chests are for the New Year Series and will expire if not used before Monday 16th January. Here’s a breakdown of the probabilities for each Chest prize:

• $2.20 – 74%
• $5.50 – 15%
• $11 – 5%
• $22 – 4%
• $55 – 2%

Players that receive a Chest Drop do not need to complete any other actions to claim their prize. All Chests will be credited automatically and can be found in the player’s account under ‘My Rewards’ and ‘Chests’. PokerStars New Year Series ticket prizes can be found in the ‘Tournament Tickets’ section of the player’s account.
