What rules apply if I use my PokerStars account to buy into a live event tournament?

If you use your PokerStars account to buy into a live event tournament, the following rules apply.

 

Refunds for live event tournament buy-ins

You are only entitled to a refund of the buy-in amount before the tournament starts.
Once the tournament has started, we cannot refund your buy-in.

 

Unregistering from a live event tournament

You can only unregister from a live event tournament before it starts.

To unregister, do one of the following:

• Email live@pokerstarslive.com at least 48 hours before the tournament starts
• Speak to the Event Management Team onsite before the tournament starts

 

PokerStars player listing and branding during live events

If you buy into a live event tournament using your PokerStars account:

• You will be listed as a PokerStars player for reporting purposes
• We may ask you to wear the PokerStars logo during the event

 

Maximum payout for live event tournaments

You are subject to a maximum cash payout of double the buy-in amount for the live event tournament.

Any remaining winnings will be credited to your PokerStars account.

 

Live event participation receipts

Can I get a live event tournament participation receipt?

Yes, depending on the event and how you entered the tournament.

 

Participation receipts for the European Poker Tour (EPT)

If you play in a European Poker Tour (EPT) event, we can provide a participation receipt regardless of how you bought in.

This includes:

• Buying in with your PokerStars account
• Buying in directly using a payment method

 

Participation receipts for other PokerStars-sponsored live events

For other us-sponsored live events, we can provide a participation receipt if at least one of the following applies:

• You bought into the tournament using your PokerStars account
• You qualified for the tournament with your PokerStars account

 

Time limit for participation receipts

We can only provide participation receipts for live events that took place within the past five years.

 

Why participation receipts are limited to five years

We take customer data protection seriously.
For this reason, we do not store live event participation information for more than five years.

 

How do I request a live event participation receipt?

To request a participation receipt, contact us via Chat and tell us:

• Which live event tournaments you need receipts for
• How you bought into those tournaments

 

How do I get a receipt if I joined through the Casino or event organiser?

If you bought into a live event tournament through the Casino or the event organiser, contact them directly for receipts.

We can provide their contact details if needed.
