“Spin Showdown: Live” Competition Terms and Conditions

The Competition

1. These Competition Terms and Conditions (“Competition Terms”) set out the terms and conditions on which eligible participants may enter Spin Showdown: Live at the UKIPT Nottingham 2024 (the “Competition”) for a chance to win a PokerStars Silver Pass (“Silver Pass”) or 100 Free Spins (as defined below) (together, the “Prizes”).

2. The Promoter of the Competition is Global Poker Tours Limited, an Isle of Man company having its registered office at Douglas Bay Complex, King Edward Road, Onchan, Isle of Man, IM3 1DZ (the “Promoter”, “we”, “us” or “our”). The Promoter is part of the group of companies that are controlled, directly or indirectly, by Flutter Entertainment PLC (“Flutter Group”).

3. In these Competition Terms, a reference to “you”, “your”, or “participant” is a reference to persons wishing to participate in the Competition. 

4. Participation in the Competition is expressly conditioned upon your acceptance of, and compliance with all requirements set out in these Competition Terms and the PokerStars online General Customer Terms applicable to your Stars Account (as defined below) found at:

(together, the “Site T&Cs”). You may be required to sign paperwork issued by the Promoter.

Competition Period

5. The Competition begins at 16:00 GMT on Thursday 14^th November 2024 and ends at 21:00 GMT on Thursday 14^th November 2024 (the “Competition Period”).  

Eligibility

6. To be eligible to enter the Competition, you must:

1. be at least 18 years old or of applicable legal age of majority in the jurisdiction you reside in (whichever is greater);
2. be a participating player in any of the UKIPT Nottingham 2024 tournaments; 
3. have a registered, verified and validated account on any of the following PokerStars online sites: www.pokerstars.com, www.pokerstars.uk, www.pokerstars.it, www.pokerstars.es (“Stars Account”); and
4. not be, for any reason, barred from, or have not opted out of or self-excluded from, playing, participating in or receiving communications about PokerStars products or services,

(together, the “Eligibility Criteria”).

7. Participants from Isle of Man, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Côte d'Ivoire, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Martinique, New Zealand, Reunion, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Pierre and Miquelon and Sri Lanka are not eligible to win a Prize.

8. Employees and relatives and/or affiliates of employees of the Flutter Group and Blueprint Gaming Ltd are not permitted to participate in the Competition. For the purpose of this clause, the term 'relative' shall mean but not be limited to spouse, partner, parent, cousin, child or sibling and 'affiliates' shall include, but not be limited to, such an employee's housemate(s) or co-habitee(s).

9. We reserve the right to ask participants for any proof of identification, age and address, and to conduct any ID and security checks on participants, as we see fit to confirm participants comply with the Eligibility Criteria. Failure by a participant to meet the Eligibility Criteria, in our sole discretion (and as verified by us), and provide any information and documentation requested by us at any stage of the Competition will result in that participant being disqualified from the Competition.

Entry requirements

10. To participate in the Competition, during the Competition Period you must:

1. enter your PokerStars username into a device shown to you by a PokerStars or Blueprint representative at the Nottingham UKIPT 2024 activation space; or scan a QR code available at the UKIPT 2024 activation space with your own device and enter your PokerStars username; and
2. play 30 free spins in King Kong Cash Even Bigger Banana's 2 that opens in the activation screen,

(together, the “Entry Requirements”).

11. All participants who have fulfilled the Eligibility Requirements and Entry Requirements will be entered into a Spin Showdown: Live Leaderboard based on the wins accumulated from the 30 Free Spins.

Selection of winners and Prize descriptions 

12. The player who comes in first place in the Spin Showdown: Live Leaderboard (“First Prize Winner”) will win the Silver Pass, which consists of $2,500 (€2,300) worth of buy-ins for selected PokerStars regional live events or selected PokerStars online poker tournaments.

13. The First Prize Winner and the players who come in 2nd-100th place in the Spin Showdown: Live Leaderboard (“Runners Up”) will win 100 free spins (“Free Spins”).

14. In the event of a tiebreak, the tied participant who was first in time to participate in the Competition, will be awarded the applicable Prize.

How to redeem a Prize

15. The First Prize Winner will receive a confirmation pop-up message in their Account. To redeem the Silver Pass, the First Prize Winner must visit the ‘Power Path’ tab in the PokerStars client or mobile app and do one of the following:

1. If they wish to use their Silver Pass to play online poker and redeem a bundle of online poker tickets, they must register for their selected target tournaments included in the bundle. Following registration, the ticket bundle will be credited to their Stars Account within 14 days.
2. If they wish to use their Silver Pass to play at a live poker event, they must register for their selected live event. Once registered, they will receive an email from the PokerStars Live Events team to their registered email address with more information.

16. The Silver Pass will expire 18 months after being credited to the First Prize Winner’s Stars Account if not fully used during that time period.

17. Free Spins will be credited to the First Prize Winner’s and the Runners Up’s Stars Accounts within 14 days after the end of the Competition Period.

18. Free Spins can only be used on the following selected Blueprint games and may not be exchanged for cash or Free Spins on other games.

19. Winnings from Free Spins will be paid once all Free Spins have been played and be awarded as follows:

1. Where the First Prize Winner or Runner Up has a Stars Account on a site other than PokerStars.IT: winnings will be awarded cash with no withdrawal restrictions or wagering requirements. Free Spins will expire 7 days after being credited to the relevant Stars Account. Upon expiry, all remaining Free Spins and pending winnings from the Free Spins will be lost.
2. Where the First Prize Winner or Runner Up has a Stars Account on PokerStars.IT: winnings will be awarded as a Casino instant bonus (“Casino Instant Bonus”). The following terms apply to Casino Instant Bonuses:
   1. To convert the Casino Instant Bonus, and any winnings from stakes placed using the Casino Instant Bonus, into cash that can be withdrawn, players must earn 1 redemption point per €1 of Casino Instant Bonus awarded before the Casino Instant Bonus expires. See www.pokerstars.it/en/casino/redemption-points/ for a full outline of how redemption points are awarded per game type.
   2. Casino Instant Bonuses can be used to play any Casino slot games and playing any Casino slot game will contribute 100% towards the wagering requirement.
   3. (c) Casino Instant Bonuses, and any winnings from stakes placed using the Casino Instant Bonus, will expire 28 days after the Casino Instant Bonus is awarded if the wagering requirements are not fully met during that time period.
   4. (d) When placing a wager, funds will be taken from the currently available Casino Instant Bonus balance first (if it has been brought to the game), and from the currently available real money balance second.
   5. (e) Any winnings from stakes placed from using Casino Instant Bonuses are considered part of the Casino Instant Bonus until the required redemption points to convert the Casino Instant Bonus to cash have been earned. As soon as the required redemption points have been earned, the Casino Instant Bonus balance will be converted to real money and credited to the relevant Stars Account instantly once all game sessions have been exited.
   6. (f) If Casino slot games are played using the Casino Instant Bonus after all the required redemption points have been earner, the Casino Instant Bonus funds will continue to be used and the value of the Casino Instant Bonus (and therefore pending cash credit) will increase or decrease according to the gameplay.

20. The First Prize Winner agrees to be bound by the PokerStars live events terms available at www.pokerstarslive.com/about/tos/.

Additional information for all Prizes

21. All elements of the Prizes are strictly non-transferable, non-exchangeable and may not be re-sold. No cash or any other alternative is available for any element of the Prizes. 

22. If any element of a Prize becomes unavailable, or a Prize winner is unable to use/take part in any element of their Prize for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are not obliged to offer an alternative prize or any cash alternative or compensation.

23. Prizes do not include any costs, taxes, fees, expenses and/or arrangements not expressly specified in the Prize description. Prize winners are solely responsible for, and we will not be liable to reimburse Prize winners for, any such additional charges and expenses.

24. We have no liability for lost or stolen tickets, vouchers, certificates and/or other documentation connected with a Prize.

25. Prize winners must not do anything that may bring the Promoter, the Flutter Group or its/their commercial partners into disrepute. We reserve the right to take appropriate action (including the removal of any element of a Prize) if a Prize winner acts in a way that we reasonably consider to bring the Promoter, the Flutter Group or its/their commercial partners into disrepute.  

26. We are not liable for any loss, theft, damage or injury caused or sustained by a Prize winner as a result of participating in their Prize (except that we will be liable for death or personal injury arising from our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation).
