Home / News / EPT Barcelona activities raise the roof again

Once again in Barcelona, the European Poker Tour’s events team has laid on a fantastic festival of poker complemented by a packed schedule of off-the-felt activities to keep players and their guests entertained regardless of their progress at the tables.

This kind of entertainment is commonplace now at EPTs, but it remains unique on the global poker calendar. No other operator offers such variety of options for anyone attending a poker festival.

For the fourth year in succession, the activities calendar featured an off-site Team Activity Day (“La Casa del Juego”), at which the PokerStars Ambassadors formed teams to compete in a number of increasingly bizarre tasks. The location and refreshments were sumptuous, and the activities themselves the usual highly-competitive nonsense.

Player welfare is always a high priority among the EPT events team too, and here in Barcelona there was another chance for players and their guests to join wellness groups for runs, meditation and pilates sessions.

These morning groups offer the perfect chance to set up mind and body for a challenging day ahead.

The padel tournament has become another favourite excursion for players, and is especially popular here in Spain, where the game originated. This year’s contest was typically hard-fought. It’s not easy to win one of those mini-Spadie trophies.

In addition to drinks for Silver Pass winners, and a Welcome Drinks for everyone, there have also been several European country-themed get-togethers celebrating Spanish, Italian and French players.

With complimentary food and drinks, and some PokerStars Ambassadors in high spirits, what could possible go wrong?
