Tobias Leknes picked up his 10th EPT trophy in Barcelona, and it got us thinking. Who has won the most trophies throughout the history of the European Poker Tour?
Packing a nice outfit in case you make a final table–that’s how most poker players manifest success.
Tobias Leknes is well past that. Norway’s master of mixed games seemingly just has to turn up at an EPT and he’s guaranteed to leave with a new piece of silverware.
Leknes, already one of online poker’s most decorated players with 13 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) titles and a further seven Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) wins, turned his focus to live poker in 2023 when PokerStars withdrew from the Norwegian market due to local regulations.
Since 2022, Leknes has racked up nine PokerStars live victories (10 overall – his first coming back in 2016). His most recent success came at EPT Barcelona on Wednesday (Aug 26) when he took down the 25-entry β¬5,200 T-O-R-S-E event for β¬52,100. That tournament featured a five-game rotation of 2-7 Triple Draw, Omaha High-Low 8 or better, Razz, Stud, and Stud High-Low 8 or better, all played at a fixed limit. Notice the lack of hold’em? Unlike its similarly-named cousin H.O.R.S.E., T-O-R-S-E is truly for the mixed game purists.
They don’t come purer than Leknes. Take a look at his WCOOP titles:

STEPHEN CHIDWICK – 14
Stephen Chidwick – who else?
We might be wrong, but we don’t think there’s a poker player on the planet who has won more live tournaments at EPT festivals than the great Stephen Chidwick.
His total of 14 would increase to 16 if you included the PCA and PokerStars Championship Panama. Simply extraordinary.
