Shoot for your share of $100K with SpinGoal.
PokerStars’ fun football-focused Spin & Go promotion, SpinGoal, is back for a brand new season following its successful debut during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
There’s more than $100,000 up for grabs in cash prizes, so if you love footy and the fast-paced action of Spin & Go tournaments, you won’t want to miss this.
But how does it work? Let’s break it down.
HOW TO PLAY SPINGOAL
Running from today (October 12) until November 8, SpinGoal is a cool Spin & Go promotion that elevates the format by adding a fun ‘football sticker album’* concept.
*If you’re not familiar with a football sticker album, it’s basically an empty book that kids (and many young-at-heart adults) fill up by collecting stickers of players and coaches, sold in packets. Immensely popular in Europe and Latin America. Oh, what fun we had before the internet.
Anyway, in SpinGoal, PokerStars players will collect a squad of 27 by playing Spin & Go’s. Every squad member collected gets you closer to scoring a prize and a share of more than $100,000.
There are 2 strikers, 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 1 goal keeper, 1 coach, 5 substitutes, and 10 squad players.
To get involved, players must:
- Opt in to the ‘SpinGoal Puzzle’ via the Challenges window in the PokerStars client
- Play Spin & Go’s – PokerStars’ three-player, Hyper-Turbo Sit & Go tournaments available in Hold’em and Omaha, with buy-ins ranging from just $0.50 all the way up to $1,000
- Tournaments have randomly drawn prize pools with prizes of up to $1 million to be won
SpinGoal is only available on the following licenses: .BG, .CH, .COM, .EE, .EU, .GR, .RO, .UK, .BETFAIR.UK
“I had a lot of fun with SpinGoal when it was running during the summer so I can’t wait to get involved again,” said PokerStars Ambassador Nick Walsh. “I’m a big fan of Spin & Gos because of the pace and the unpredictability, and adding the football element gives it an extra bit of excitement.”
Neymar Jr, one of the world’s most famous football players and a PokerStars Ambassador, said: “I’d love to say I’ll be chasing the big prizes in SpinGoal, but I’ll be busy on the pitch [with Santos FC and Brazil]. But football and poker fans are going to have a lot of fun playing SpinGoal.”
When he’s not on the pitch, Neymar Jr loves playing online poker on PokerStars and at PokerStars live events around the world
SPINGOAL STRATEGY
While you don’t have to win the Spin & Go you play to collect a squad member puzzle piece, it’s always more fun when you finish on top.
So, before you dive headfirst into SpinGoal and try to win your share of $100K, you should first take stock of your bankroll (i.e. figure out what Spin & Go buy-in level you can play comfortably), then brush up your Spin & Go strategy.
PokerStars Learn and Nick Walsh have put together a full training program
That’s where we’ve got you covered. PokerStars Learn teamed up with PokerStars Ambassador Nick Walsh for a complete training series of Spin & Go strategy videos, starting with basic gameplay before moving on to how to play each position, push/fold strategies, and more.
