Merlin’s Mysteries – A World of Magic

An entire fantasy universe is unleashed in this new 3×5-reel online slot, Merlin’s Mysteries. With a total of 15 pay lines, 10 symbols and several different themed characters, the game’s premier feature is, as its name suggests, finding all the magic stones required to unlock Merlin’s Mysteries.   

There are four Mysteries, each with their level of “difficulty” based on how tough it is to find their respective magic stones on the reels. When the player collects 5 identical stones and finds the Mysteries, they act as mini, non-progressive jackpots with a fixed payout based on multipliers ranging from 10x up to 50x.

Base Game

In the Base Game, players can solve the Mysteries multiple times. Players will notice that above the reels there are stone placeholders which are there to keep track of these Mysteries as the game plays out.

The slot’s Wilds are triggered when Merlin teams up with another character, appearing right next to them on the reels. These Wilds pay out different amounts on any winning combinations. For example, if Merlin and King Arthur happen to be horizontally side-by-side on adjoining reels, a 4x Wild presents itself, whereas a Merlin and Sir Lancelot pairing horizontally results in a 2x Wild.

When Merlin and Morgana appear next to each other horizontally, a regular 1x Wild is paid out on any winning combination and a random Mystery will be added to the player’s Collection meter.

Free Spins

Free Spins are another feature of the Merlin’s Mysteries slot, triggered by 3-5 scatters that appear anywhere on the reels. In a Free Spins round, each Mystery can be uncovered only once. With the first three Mystery payouts, an additional 3 free spins are awarded, giving players a chance to solve more Mysteries. It is even possible to solve all Mysteries in a single Free Spins round. At the end of the round, the progress of the stone collection resets, so the player enters the Base Game with zero stones.
