PokerStars introduces changes to cash game lobby
PokerStars is implementing changes to the cash game lobby that will impact the way you take a seat at the table in certain stakes on our global .COM site. The changes will come into effect on Tuesday, July 15th.
At specified cash game stakes (below $2.50/$5), players will no longer be able to select a table and seat. Instead, you’ll be automatically placed at a table upon joining a game.
This update means the cash game lobby will be much cleaner with just one entry for each stake, making it easier to find your game of choice. It will also help establish a more welcoming environment for new and less experienced players.
WHERE THE UPDATE IS APPLIED:
STILL AVAILABLE AT HIGHER STAKES
Table and seat selection at higher stakes ($2.50/$5 and above, for No Limit and Pot Limit games) will still be available as we realise dynamics between players are important for table starting in these games.
These changes don’t impact fixed limit games, so table and seat selection will still be available there.
As always, PokerStars will monitor feedback from players as well as review data before considering any further changes.
Note: The ring game table cap has now been increased from 4 to 6.
