ABOUT EPT BARCELONA 2026

The European Poker Tour wouldn’t be the same without Barcelona.

In 2025, EPT Barcelona went to another level as the Main Event ranked as one of the three largest Main Events in EPT history, with the winner taking home over â‚¬1,400,000 from a near €10,000,000 prize pool.

It’s safe to say that excitement for EPT Barcelona 2026 is at fever pitch thanks to the success of the tour’s oldest ever stop. Each year, the action on and off the tables seems to get bigger, so you’ll be glad to hear we aren’t stopping.

Expect everything from High Roller, Super High Roller and Mystery Bounty events, as well as the jewel in the crown–the EPT Barcelona 2026 Main Event. And, as per usual, the EPT in Barcelona is twinned with the PokerStars Open, meaning there’s bound to be plenty of nail-biting showdowns to choose from on the felt.

Then there’s the stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife and world-class cuisine that make the stunning Catalonian capital a go-to destination for millions of people. A world of possibilities awaits thanks to our off-the-felt activities, too.

Will you be joining us at the luxurious Casino Barcelona this year?

OFF-THE-FELT ACTIVITIES

Wherever the European Poker Tour goes, there’s plenty of fun to be had off the felt. But it’s especially good in Barcelona, where the party vibes are strong (the casino is right beside the beach!) and the local food and drink is exceptional.

This time, players and their guests can enjoy karaoke, games nights, wine tastings, and daily wellness classes.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the EPT without an incredible Players Party too, and Barcelona’s is always one of the best.

GUIDE TO THE CITY

The European Poker Tour (EPT) has been to 26 cities during its first two decades, but only one has featured every single year. No prizes for naming Barcelona as that most favoured destination: it’s where the whole thing started back in 2004, and where the 20th anniversary celebrations kick off at the end of this month.

But what’s so good about Barcelona? Why does the EPT keep coming back?

The simple answer is that everybody who goes there loves it, so you’d be better off asking any of the several thousand people who visit EPT Barcelona every year. The slightly longer answer is that this is the city that has absolutely everything any poker player or any tourist (or any poker-playing tourist) could possibly want.

Here’s where we take a look at all those things, and give you some ideas of what to look out for on your trip to Catalonia.

Check out our Barcelona city guide here.
