Ties Work Differently in Pontoon

Equal totals are another area where Pontoon can move away from standard Blackjack. A normal Blackjack tie usually ends in a Push. Under Pontoon rules where the dealer wins ties, both sides finishing on the same total results in the dealer taking the hand. If the player and dealer both finish on 20, for example, the bet is not simply returned.
