Verdict
Pretty even but sticking with the honest MACEDON ROSE (8). Sat handy and kept coming last time over 1500m at Mornington and was just nabbed on the line. Drawn for a soft run here and expected to be in the finish again. SOMEWHERE (3) made a nice return at Caulfield fresh then found the line late over a mile last time, albeit six lengths from the winner. Ready to win and should be tough to hold out late. LEG DRIVE (5) continues to race in good form. Ran on hard to just miss two back then was a dominant winner last time at Cranbourne. This tougher but in form and can give a huge sight again. THUNDER HAWK (13) raced on speed fresh over 1400m and was game in defeat, finishing a close-up third. Fitter and has placed 2/2 when second-up. Among the chances. ONLYGOLDWILLDO (11) was awkwardly away and never got into the race last time. Fitter and is a third-up winner. Worth another chance.
