BELLE JOURNEE (6) finished a brave third over 2000m at this track 10 days ago. She is very consistent, and with 2kg less to carry this time, she looks hard to beat in this suitable race. LEAD BY EXAMPLE (11) missed the placings in her last 2 starts, and has been battling to find some decent form for a while. She is right down in the weights after a 3kg claim, and she can figure in the top 4 this time. AH KUM (5) produced a strong effort second-up, finishing less than a length from the winner in third over 1800m at Ascot a fortnight ago. He has found it hard to win another race, but should go close in this. HIS EMINENCE (8) has been winless for some time but could be ready to turn things around after finishing not far away in eighth place over 2100m at Ascot last start in a far stronger field. Each way value in this. NEAP TIDE (2) had an excuse last start after winning 2 on the bounce before that. William Pike sticks with him, and so do we.
