REGAL ZEUS (4) tried to match it with Pride Of Jenni when last seen at Caulfield and came off second best, as many top horses have done. His effort wasn't bad considering he loomed as a threat into the straight and just had enough late. Three weeks between runs here should be okay and there shouldn't be nearly as much pressure here. EL ROCKO (13) was heavily backed on a deteriorating Moonee Valley track and relished the conditions to score by 2.75 lengths. With rain forecast for this meeting, he may be able to go on with it. VERDAD (9) has won two of his past three now and is going well. Didn't beat much last time but has claims again. POUNDING (3) closed off well behind Pride Of Jenni last time and is right in the mix. CHORLTON LANE (1) is really struggling to win but racing well and is an each-way hope.
