MA TE WA (5) posted a couple of effortless wins at Whanganui to open this campaign, and he should have no trouble coping with the class rise here. Top hoop Craig Grylls returns to the saddle, and he should rack up a hat-trick of wins here. MAGAWA (3) was travelling well before clipping the heels of the horse in front of him and losing his action last start. He was racing well before that, and can make amends in this. Include in all multiples. TESTING (6) was back to her best fresh up when leading all the way to score by over a length at Otaki 11 days ago. She won a trial before that and has the scope to go right on with the job. GIGI (1) made good progress last prep earlier in the year and will be even stronger now. A recent placing at the trials will ensure that he is ready to rumble fresh up. A market watch is advised. ZA SPIRIT (8) has not won for some time, and both of her wins have been on good tracks, but she has been placed in over half of her runs in the wet. Stick with her.
