George Scott saddled the winner of this in 2022 and STAYA, who was beaten less than 2 lengths when a very creditable fifth in the Queen Mary, is taken to provide the yard with further success in this listed contest. Signs of inexperience were still apparent at Royal Ascot and further improvement is on the cards. Military Code proved to be a disappointment at the same meeting, but he remains of strong interest in view of his initial promise, while Rogue Supremacy is best of the rest.

Sales price rose to 375,000 gns this year and well on top at the finish when seeing off a subsequent winner on debut at Yarmouth (performance backed up by the clock). Still looked in need of the experience when fifth of 23 in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot (5f, firm) since and she's the one to beat.

    Verdict
Winner of 5f novice events at Newmarket and Ascot during the spring (form of the latter is proving strong). Subsequently finished nearer last than first upped to 6f in the Coventry Stakes (sweated up beforehand), but this relatively quick turnaround suggests that all is well. Big player back at 5f.

£160,000 purchase who knew his job every bit as well as his strength in the betting suggested he would on debut at Wetherby early last month, winning that 6-runner maiden in good style. Encountered traffic problems in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot next time and he remains a useful prospect.

    Verdict
Well-bred son of Starman who built on the promise of his Chepstow debut second (form working out well) when going one better with a strong front-running display in a small-field Goodwood maiden (5f, good to firm). This is much tougher, but he's clearly talented and the best is surely yet to come.

    Verdict
Havana Grey filly who landed the odds with the minimum of fuss on debut in 4-runner maiden at Wolverhampton (5f) in April. Creditable in listed race at York the following month, but her limitations were seemingly exposed in the Queen Mary last time and she looks vulnerable.

    Verdict
Knew her job when making all on recent debut in a Windsor maiden (6f, good to firm). Much more on her plate here, but she represents a top 2-y-o team and it's hard to know how good she could prove to be.

    Verdict
Debut effort at Haydock wasn't devoid of promise and built on that when making a race of it with a promising, unbeaten Godolphin colt over this C&D (good) 3 weeks ago. Should pick up a race sooner rather than later, but she's probably biting off more than she can chew here.

    Verdict
Showed why she was pitched into listed company on debut when readily landing the odds in a 6f Ripon novice on her second start. Plausible excuse when down the field in the Queen Mary since (probably did a little bit too much too soon) and she remains with potential. Stablemate of Rogue Supremacy.
