Dundalk

Today, July 12, 2025Flat5fStandard

Last year's winner LITTLE QUEENIE has been successful on her last three visits to Dundalk and back below her last winning mark, she can maintain her fine course record in first-time blinkers. Sporting Hero and Eclairage are both entitled to plenty of respect returning to the all-weather, however there's no shortage of pace in the race and that could play into the hands of the potential 3-y-o improvers Revoke and Greatest Drama, the latter very interesting on the best of his juvenile form.

Debut winner matched that form when second in a Listed race over C&D in October. Not in same for two starts this season but could have more to offer now handicapping (with yard in much better form) with a strongly-run 5f expected to suit.

Winner of his last 3 starts at this track (latest when winning this race in 2024). Below form when seventh of 14 in handicap at the Curragh (5f, good, 15/2) 13 days ago. Blinkers on first time for return to all-weather and remains one to be interested in now below her last winning mark.

Norfolk Stakes winner here as 2-y-o. A two-time scorer at this course in 2025 but arrives on the back of two poor turf runs, latest in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot. Versatile trip-wise but needs to improve on recent efforts.

4-time C&D winner. Latest win at Navan in May and ran at least as well when blinkered for first time, creditable third of 14 in handicap (16/1) at the Curragh (5f, good) 13 days ago, slowly away. Should be competitive if he can maintain his form back on the all-weather.

Landed a C&D hat-trick last season and showed plenty of dash when matching that form second time up this season, third in a conditions race at Tipperary (5f, good to firm, 8/1) 10 days ago. Respected back on the all-weather.

C&D winner. Latest win at the Curragh in April and again held his form when 6/1, good fifth of 14 in handicap at the Curragh (5f, good) 13 days ago. More on his plate back on the all-weather.

In excellent heart on the all-weather in the spring (narrowly denied hat-trick here) but below that form on turf when eighth of 14 in handicap (40/1) at the Curragh (5f, good) 13 days ago. Not surprise to see here more competitive returning to Dundalk.

Night Of Thunder filly who confirmed debut promise (strong form) when landing 7f Gowran maiden in September. Shaped as if better for the run when eighth of 12 in handicap at the Curragh (5f, soft), unable to sustain effort. May yet be capable of better on polytrack debut.
