CASPERNOVA (2) is promising and resumed with a narrow defeat at Doomben. He maps for the run of the race and Maloney is a key jockey engagement. Proven second up and can go one better. BINDI'S CHOICE (10) resumes for the premier barn and has switched from David Pfieffer in NSW on a 144-day return. Her best is good enough and she'll carry just 52kg with Lang's claim. She's won fresh and has trialled well. Draws inside and a bold run is likely. Stablemate GIVE GIGGLES (5) didn't have much luck at Ipswich but had threatened there the two before. Briefly freshened and Jones' engagement is a decent push for her chance. WEIGALL TIGER (1) looked short of a run first-up in stronger despite the decent market support. He's won 2/4 second up and is likely to control the race. Rates to be right in it.
