SUNSET BOULEVARD (1) was a disappointing favourite when resuming at Riccarton last month although beaten less than 3L. Extra trip here likely to bring out improved performance. AYTEEM (2) was in or near the lead for two dominant wins this distance range before dropping to 1600m & battling last time. Can bounce back. SOLIDIFY (9) right in the fight last 3 starts and has a great record at this distance. Must respect. TRAV (4) made up a lot of ground for 5ths in the G3 Wellington Cup and G2 Auckland cup before running on again last start in March. May need a run but has won first-up before.
