Very open. WATS NORMAL (4) has upside and may well be worth following up. Narrowly beaten fresh then got off the mark last time with the maiden win. Peaks now and in form. Looks sure to run well again. FIRE TRIBE (6) returned from a break in a BM64 and finished fifth. Was beaten a couple of lengths and comes back a notch here. Fitter and expected to feature. ALTERNATE (12) built on a nice second when fresh from a spell two starts back at Avoca with a win as favourite over 1400m at Werribee three-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Tries hard at the very least and now back in winning form should be in the mix again. MISTY EMOTIONS (9) stuck on well last start to finish third over 1400m at Sale after showing good early speed. Placed to advantage so expect a forward showing. ANCHOR DOWN (5) ran eighth last time in a tougher race. Strong maiden winner the start prior and gets chance to bounce back.
