JAEGER (2) ran on strongly from well back and showed grit to hold off all challengers late to score by a short-head fresh up at Otaki 11 days ago. He carries the same weight second-up on his home track, and he will be hard to hold out again. BEAUESK (1) was fourth as favourite on debut, before winning his maiden here by over 3 lengths. He gives the Patterson stable a strong chance in this, and he can repeat the dose. CHARM ZAFARM (6) was an overdue maiden winner at Whanganui in her penultimate start, and then was a game runner-up at Otaki 11 days ago. The extra furlong will be no problem, and she has each-way claims again. OUT OF SIGHT (7) made a winning debut from the Jason Teaz stable fresh up, and has enjoyed the quieter surroundings of her new barn. This is a lot harder, but she loves bad ground and is worth including in all combinations to be safe. EL TAJIN (3) was an overdue maiden winner at Otaki over a mile last start. Stick with him. BOY (4) was second fresh up. Go again.
