SIMPLE STAR has been given a chance by the handicapper having raced keenly when upped in class at Kelso last time. He appeals most back down in grade and if settling better, may reverse the course form with Just Dottie from earlier in the season. Spit Spot was a creditable third on her previous C&D start and arrives in form, while Winds of Winter arrives in search of the hat-trick but may have to settle for minor honours up in grade.

Not the most straightforward but did manage to win a seller following a 4-month absence in February. Failed to beat a rival in two subsequent starts, though was found to be lame at Sedgefield on most recent start in March. Little room for error from this mark on his return.

4-time C&D winner including a double over this C&D in April/May. The form of the latter has taken a few knocks and though denied the hat-trick showed herself still in good heart when finishing third in a steadily-run race over C&D 25 days ago. No surprise to see her add to a fine course record.

Best run for Iain Jardine when shedding her maiden tag in a 12-runner selling handicap at Cartmel last month (form has been franked) and won easily on debut for current connections at Hexham (16.2f), though that form looks less solid. Respected but may need to improve to land the hat-trick.

Fairly exposed type but excelled herself from out of the weights when jumping slickly to finish runner-up at Musselburgh (19.8f) in March, having controlled the pace. Unfortunate to be brought down on chase debut 11 days ago. Should perform respectably back over hurdles if none the worse for that.

Fair performer on the Flat and returned to form over hurdles (following 4 months off) when third over C&D. Didn't need to improve to win a thin Musselburgh maiden next time and ran at least as well in defeat when a close third in a Cartmel novice 36 days ago. Should give another good account.

C&D winner did as well to finish as close as she did when fourth behind Just Dottie in May (pulled hard). Wasn't disgraced given she again went freely under a change of tactics when runner-up behind a class dropper at Kelso 39 days ago. Dropped 3 lb and strong claims if she can settle.

Fair handicapper on Flat. Yet to reach that level over hurdles but offered something to work with in a couple of maiden hurdles for Alexandra Dunn last year, (sold for 3,200 gns) prior to pulling too hard on stable debut at Perth last month. Improvement needed with hood refitted for handicap debut.

Lost way for Dr Richard Newland but has been able to win twice off reduced marks for current connections. Ran flat when upped in grade at Kelso in May (well held third behind Simple Star). Has been given a short break and ought to be competitive back down in class in first time tongue tie.
