THANKS GORGEOUS (11) has had a few chances with four minor placings from six starts but looks very well placed back in maiden grade having run a cracker in the G3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes behind top filly Inkaruna. Her form is largely in better races than this and the 1200m seems to be key. Gets her chance to break through. YELLOWJACKET (13) is the danger. She was very good on debut from a mile back at Pakenham over 1000m, charging home into second. She should relish the extra furlong here and will be hard to hold out despite a tricky map. LAYLA (6) is a filly by Justify on debut for the Hayes yard. She's been trialling and jumping out well and looks to have plenty of ability, respect. CELESTRA (1) resumes having run well on debut last time in. Can improve this time around and has claims. SASS APPEAL (9) can run well on debut.
