Southwell

TomorrowFlatClass 57f

There should be better to come from BOWFELL, who made it second time lucky when landing a Newcastle novice with authority at the beginning of the month. He is taken to follow-up here, perhaps at the chief expense of All Moonshine, with improvement likely from the Andrew Balding-trained filly on the back of her encouraging debut last month. Irish import Thequietman is third choice ahead of stablemate Hostility, who is not short of ability but has already had plenty of chances.

Promising individual. Won 8-runner novice (evens) at Newcastle (7.1f) 26 days ago, pulling nicely clear of the rest with a Haggas-trained newcomer. Carries a penalty for that but, with further improvement possible, he may prove equal to the task.

Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable second of 6 in maiden (6/5) at Roscommon (7.5f, soft) on final run for Joseph O'Brien last October. Hood enlisted for this stable/tapeta debut and merits respect.

Fair gelding. 6/5, fourth of 5 in maiden at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 15 days ago. Record now stands at 0-12 and while he should be on the premises, it's likely that he will again find one or two too good. Yard also saddles Thequietman.

Due Diligence gelding. Dam, 5f winner (including at 2 yrs), half-sister to useful 5f winner Camacho Chief. Yard's newcomers typically come on for run, so perhaps best to look elsewhere on this occasion.

€23,000 2-y-o, Kodiac filly. Dam US maiden half-sister to useful winner up to 7f Nuno Tristan out of useful 2-y-o 6f winner Saintly Speech. Yard isn't synonymous with winning newcomers and probably best watched this time.
