The US Open women’s singles final features two teenagers and we have studied the odds to pick out some betting tips for the New York showpiece.
Britain’s Emma Raducanu has stunned the tennis world by becoming the first qualifier – male or female – to make the final of any grand slam tournament.
She is one match away from becoming the first British female winner at Flushing Meadows since Virginia Wade in 1968 so here are our Raducanu vs Fernandez predictions.

Emma Raducanu vs Leylah Fernandez
Raducanu dismantled 17th seed Maria Sakkari in the semi-finals and cruised through with a sensational 6-1 6-4 victory.
Tearing up the record books, Raducanu is now the first British woman to earn a place in a major final since Wade won Wimbledon in 1977.
Incredibly, she has not lost a set on her route to the final and has dropped just 27 games in her six matches.

Two months after bursting onto the scene at Wimbledon ranked 361st in the world, a month after receiving her A-Level results, and 13 days after entering qualifying in New York, the 18-year-old from Orpington stands on the brink of one of the most remarkable sporting achievements of all time.
Such is her form that she is the 8/13 favourite to win the final, helped by the fact she is facing another teenager in Fernandez.
The Canadian, who turned 19 on Monday, stunned world number two Aryna Sabalenka in a dramatic three-set semi-final and has laid waste to a who’s who of women’s tennis this fortnight.
The world number 73 added Sabalenka to the scalps of defending champion Naomi Osaka, 2016 winner Angelique Kerber and fifth seed Elina Svitolina with a 7-6 (3) 6-4 4-6 victory in two hours and 21 minutes.
It was the fourth successive match in which Fernandez has been taken to a third set and five of her six contests have featured a tie-break.
She has played 175 games so far, compared to just 99 for her opponent, and has been on court almost five hours more.
Raducanu has spent less time on court even if her three qualifying matches are taken into account so that extra freshness must surely work in her favour.
We fancy the young Briton to race out of the blocks and she appeals at 7/4 to be leading after four games as the first of our Raducanu vs Fernandez predictions.
The second set may prove slightly trickier, as it has done in all but one of her matches since arriving in New York.
Raducanu can be backed at 13/5 to win the second set 6-3 or 6-4 and that Odds Boost from 23/10 looks good value, given it has paid out in four of her six matches in the main draw.
For the last of our Raducanu vs Fernandez predictions, let’s take the Briton to win in straight sets once again at 11/8, just as she did against the same opponent when they met in the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon junior tournament in 2018.
