STAR SERPENT (9) returns. Didn't show much in her debut prep but looks to have come on nicely during the break and takes benefit from a recent jumpout. Gets in well with the 2kg claim and is one of the main hopes. GOODLOOKIN' GURU (7) didn't fire a shot fresh when clearly below her best. Willing to give another chance with that run out of the way. ZARUBINA (6) battled away soundly into a midfield finish when resuming at Mt Gambier last time. Strips fitter and is drawn much kinder this time. Expected to make her presence felt. KARMA QUEEN (5) was too bad to be true last time over the mile at Balaklava but her run prior was solid and she doesn't strike a deep maiden here. Drops back to a sprinting trip and is worth another chance.
