SUN TOPAZE (2) loved getting back onto a heavy track last start, coming home too well to score over 1418m at Coffs Harbour. Up sharply in trip but that is a positive - won by four lengths over 2350m last prep. With the prospect of another bog track he must go on top. SCARLET PRINCE (1) has failed to figure in two runs this prep, albeit in races that were far too short for him. Finds a more agreeable set-up today and the heavy track is a tick - he has three wins and three placings from seven runs under these conditions. ROCK THE MACHINE (4) was a month between runs when a closing second over 2245m at Grafton recently. Will come on from that hit-out and is a definite contender. ALDEENAARY (3) did a fair job to finish third when resuming at Beaudesert nine days ago. Helped by a step up in distance today. STOICISM (5) is not going well but her only run on a heavy track saw her score by 5.5 lengths. Can turn things around.
