PAINT IT RED (8) is a 3YO taking on the older horses, though she looks to have plenty of ability. She jumped favourite in an Open 3YO race last start when only narrowly beaten, turning in good figures over this track and trip. Should be close to the speed from the gate and can go one better. NICCIMOTA (4) made it back-to-back wins last start with a narrow victory as favourite here. The form out of that race has been strong, with three placegetters and a winner from 4 subsequent starters. The claim of Cooper comes in handy and she'll give them something to chase yet again. MANTUA (3) was solid in his only trial coming into this but brings across some handy Victorian form. He was only 2.5L away on the Caulfield Heath first-up last campaign and draws to get every chance in his WA debut. BLACK ORA (5) is unbeaten first-up and can make her presence felt. TAWKIN' JIBBERISH (1) is not to be discounted despite a plain trial recently.
