Tricky race. TOSEN IMPACT (3) comes across to the west and debuts for the Ikenushi stable today. His trial coming into this was solid and he has placed first-up in the past. May need some luck from the tricky gate but a forward showing first-up is expected. VENUS KING (1) got a long way back first-up and never really got into the race. Out in trip now looks ideal and Brad Parnham hops on board having won aboard the gelding previously. He's a track and trip winner in the past and a much better effort is on the cards. LYN'S STAR (5) has been back to the trials since her last start over 2219m here 19 days ago. Can sit handy from the inside barrier and Cooper claims 2kg. Can be there when it matters. ANNIE WARBUCKS (2) can improve third-up and out to a more suitable trip. LAKEVIEW LIGHTNING (4) is next best.
