PICTOR (17) has not appeared since coming from the clouds to be beaten a whisker by subsequent stakes winner Grand Prairie on debut over this trip at the Kensington track nine weeks ago. Beautifully drawn and McDonald goes on today. Perfectly placed to make a successful return. PELEUS (14) missed the kick then tracked wide before closing off well to get up for a close fifth last start over 1000m at Wyong. Like him over the extra 100m now. Just needs to sort his manners out to be highly competitive. BENEVAC (2) led and dug deep but found a couple better near the line when resuming over today's journey at Gosford recently. Clark to ride again and if he can dictate the gelding will be tough to catch. FERNWEH (6) impressed on debut at Warwick Farm in May and hasn't been sighted since. Trialling well for Joe Pride so a strong return looks on the cards. SURF'S UP (12) produced an eye-catcher first-up at the Farm. Coming back in distance is the slight query.
