ASVA (1) went close here over a mile in Open grade second-up and drops back to a sprint briefly freshened. Has the inside barrier and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. THE SPIRIT OF ZERO (5) came from last beaten 1L at Hobart first-up. He's proven second up and he's won here over the trip. Fitter and has claims. FIGHTING FLOYD (4) spiked his numbers beaten 1L at Hobart. Hasn't placed here in 4 outings but on the latest effort he may be worth another chance. ORIGINAL GLAZE (6) resumes for the new barn and his last four starts have been in metro company in Brisbane. Just missed here his latest trial and is certainly good enough. The betting will be key.
