FRENCH SOUL (5) debuts and maps well. He's also shown enough at the trials to suggest he's a chance. ALPINE WOODS (9) resumes off a narrow defeat at Hobart on a heavy surface and has three trials under the saddle. May need one, but deserves a betting watch.
