Tricky. NIKOLSKY (9) is a former South Australian ready to win off two solid efforts at Launceston. Tackles the synthetic for the first time, but Newitt sticking aboard is a plus. Gives away starts but should power home over the longer sprint. THICKSKINNED (4) resumed at Launceston, beaten less than 2L and has trialled well at this track since. Has a sticky barrier but has more upside than most of these. ZIGGY PLAYS GUITAR (6) has the ability but draws very wide. Has a promising 3kg claimer aboard and can make the finish with some luck. ARCADE BOY (1) is running out of chances but has pieces of form that stack up, and he races at Devonport for the first time. Uses the inside barrier, and the 3kg claim brings him into it. CALLED THROUGH (2) gave away a big start before being beaten 1.8L at Launceston at long odds. He has placed this course/distance and may go on with it now.
