BAYSIDE (2) knuckled down strongly to get within a long neck of the winner over 1200m at Launceston when returning from a break. Has a formidable record at this journey and enjoys the synthetic. Comes back a level and keeps the handy 2kg claim. Can go one better with average luck. BAYBOUGG (10) was in the money two starts back at Launceston but was unable to repeat the effort there last time as favourite. Keeps a leading hoop and can go better back to a sprinting trip. STONE COLD STUNNER (1) likes to run along and peaks off a narrow defeat at Launceston in a 68. The 4kg claim offsets the weight increase, and she will get every chance to go one better. ALPINE BLAST (6) finds easier with a 3kg claim and is going well enough to consider.
