LYREBIRD LADY (9) is a former Victorian who wound up strongly to finish runner-up on debut for the new yard. Is suited by the extra ground and has run some good races on the Ballarat Synthetic when trained on the mainland. Looks hard to hold out again. STOLLAWAY NED (7) was solid on debut then just found one better last time here over the same journey. Has upside and can measure up this time. GUBER (3) looks close to a win but has had an awful lot of chances. Has placed 3/3 this course and distance though so should be in the mix. GEE GEES BROTHER (2) is fitter for two runs back and ready to show best. SIR WILLIAM (5) gave a sight last time at Hobart and nabbed late. Will be in this for a long way.
