Debutant MADESIAN (11) is spotting rivals fitness and experience here but it was hard to not be taken by his last trial ahead of the debut. Led them up over 1200m at Cranbourne and the further they went up the straight the further he got in front. End up winning by about 10 lengths but wasn't fully extended. Tough to win over 1600m on debut but he looks up to the task. ORAQUA (7) is an import who recently joined Mitch Freedman from Chris Waller and while disappointing last start she was good in a stronger race than this the start prior and won a recent Kerang jumpout in preparation for this. GYRA (3) should be forgiven last start because she was good fresh and should be ready to peak at this trip third-up. EMPEROR TZU (10) is another from the Maher yard who'll be fitter for recent racing.
