Competitive maiden. TOMMY THUG (2) has had 16 tries but has placed nine times and looks hard to beat on best. Has circumvented the eastern seaboard with the Maher yard but now in Queensland looks well placed to get off the mark after two good runs this time in. SEA ME DANCE (6) is edging towards a win and has been narrowly beaten last two placing both. May well appreciate the extra ground now. CONTINENT (3) stepped up to a similar journey last time and found the line nicely to finish runner-up. Moor stays aboard and looks tough to stop again. NIENNA (5) loomed up in the same race as Continent last time and finished on her heels in third. In-form claimer goes aboard so meets her 2kg better. Suspect she might even try to lead off the inside. ASPIRE TO WIN (1) is the other that will go forward and although well held in a Class 1 in the latest can do better back in right grade.
