Verdict

PERFECT PLAY (4) doesn’t win out of turn but is as consistent as they come. Gets a good pull at the weights with Houston’s claim and the blinkers go on. Makes a strong case. MOONSHINE RUN (10) caught the eye last time at Eagle Farm when making up a stack of ground late. Gets in a treat with Youngberry’s 3kg claim and is drawn kinder. Big threat. BARBRAY (11) has hit the ground running up in QLD and finds another suitable contest. Concedes weight to a few key dangers but is drawn to settle closer. BLUEPINOT (8) is ticking along nicely and doesn’t have to improve much to be in the finish. Maloney sticking is a good push. LAST COMMAND (2) has been okay in his two runs back and will only be further improved. Worth noting apprentice Jai Williams is in red-hot touch.
