Verdict

LAST COMMAND (3) failed first-up in Sydney then appreciated the drop in grade when an eye-catching second to Carravilla over 1350m at Doomben last start. Open to further improvement and will prove tough to hold out down this longer Eagle Farm straight. CARRAVILLA (6) led for home and had to dig deep to just hold off Last Command when they clashed at Doomben recently. Has to overcome a 1.5kg weight swing today but she is in terrific form this prep and can get the job done again. BENGAL DIAMOND (9) overcame a slow start to salute with a bit in hand over this course and distance last time out. Up a little in grade but he is a force to be reckoned with now that he is back in form. VOS SAVANT (10) missed by a whisker over the mile here last start. Won't mind coming back in trip - major player. ASSENT (8) has won two on the trot in the country. Draws the fence and should acquit himself well again.
